Responsible Use
The VANTA V10 is a sporting instrument, not a toy. Used carelessly it can injure someone permanently. Read this before your first shot.

Sport and target use only
The VANTA V10 is made for target shooting and sport practice. That is the only use it is designed for and the only use we support.
It is not a defensive tool, not a hunting tool and not a prop. Do not use it for anything except shooting at a target you have set up on purpose.
Adults only, 18 or older
You must be 18 or older to order, own or use this. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age, that higher age applies to you.
Full detail is on the Age Notice.
Always wear eye protection
Wear impact rated eye protection before you draw, and keep it on until you have stopped shooting. Everyone within range of a ricochet wears it too, including anyone watching.
Ricochets are the normal failure mode with steel ammunition. They are the reason this is the first rule and not a footnote.
Never aim at people, animals, vehicles or property
Never point the unit at a person or an animal, loaded or not, as a joke or otherwise. Never shoot toward vehicles, windows, buildings, or anything you do not own.
Only ever aim at a target you have deliberately set up, with a clear view of what is behind it.
Shoot in a safe, controlled area with a proper backstop
Shoot only in a place you control, where nobody can walk into the line of fire. Check the area behind and around the target before every session.
Use a proper backstop that stops the ammunition and does not throw it back, for example a purpose made catch box or a hanging rubber or fabric curtain. Do not shoot at hard flat surfaces such as concrete, brick, steel plate or stone. Collect your ammunition afterwards.
Check your local law before you order
Some countries, states and cities restrict items of this kind, and a few prohibit them outright. The rules can differ between neighbouring regions and they change.
Checking the rules that apply at your address is your responsibility, and it has to happen before you order. We cannot advise you on your local law. If we find we cannot ship legally to your address, we will tell you and refund the order in full.
Store it away from children
Store the unit, the bands and the ammunition out of reach of children, and out of sight. If you can lock it away, lock it away.
Store it separately from the ammunition. It should never be possible for someone to pick this up and use it without you knowing.
Inspect the bands before every use
Bands are a wear part. They degrade with use, with sunlight and with time, and a band that fails under full draw snaps back toward your face.
Before every session, check the full length of both bands and the pouch attachments for nicks, tears, thin spots, cloudiness or stiffness. If you find any of that, or if you are unsure, replace the bands before you shoot. Replace them on age even if they look fine.
If something does not feel right, stop
If the fork, the roller bearings, the magazine or any fastener feels loose, rough or damaged, stop shooting and do not use the unit again until it has been checked.
Email us with photographs and we will tell you what to do next. Do not modify the unit, and do not shoot ammunition it was not made for.
Not sure whether something is safe, or whether you are allowed one where you live? Ask us before you order.
